School Rules

  1. Every students should carry his / her almanac to school each day.
  2. Changing of class rooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
  3. Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Students who are not in proper uniform will not be allowed to enter their class rooms.
  4. Non Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
  5. No shouting or whistling is allowed in or around the school building.
  6. Running in corridors is strictly prohibited. To come out of class, pass should be used. In each section only one class pass should be in circulation.
  7. Care must be taken of all school property and no student should scratch or spoil the desks or chairs or damage any school furniture or write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher, or to the Principal.
  8. Any damage done will be made good by the concerned students, together with a fine imposed on him / her for such an offence. Anyone who notices something damaged should report the matter even if he or she does not know who has done it.
  9. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments to school.
  10. No books, (other than text books or library books) magazines or papers may be brought to
    school.
  11. Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not permitted.
  12. The school is not responsible for articles loss. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like
    expensive watches or fountain pens, calculators) to school.
  13. Cycles must be locked. Students may not ride around in the school compound on bicycles. Use of scooters / mopeds / bikes is strictly prohibited for coming to school or any school function.
  14. Students who come to school in the care of servants should never leave before the servant
    arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. Those who go home alone
    should not loiter about on the way but be prompt in returning straight to home.
  15. Students should observe polite manners, wherever they go; they should always remember that
    the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.
  16. The school reserves for itself the right to terminate the student with unsatisfactory progress in
    studies or whose conduct is a bad precept for others.
  17. School appointees should wear their respective badges daily.
  18. Student must communicate in English. If a student does not improve in spoken English inspite of repeated warnings he or she will be penalized for the same.
  19. No student shall indulge in any of the following practices¬
    (a) Writing anything on the shirts or uniform.
    (b) Spitting in or near the school building.
    (c) Disfiguring or otherwise damaging school property.
    (d) Smoking
    (e) Any form of gambling.
    (f) Use of drugs or intoxicant, except on prescription by a registered medical practitioner.
    (g) Rowdyism and rude behaviour.
    (h) Use of violence in any form.
    (i) Casteism, communalism or practice untouchability.
    (j) Bursting crackers or throwing colour on one another / or painting faces within the school
    premises.
    (k) Roll Nos. of the students who do not follow the school rules or behave in an in disciplined manner
    may be withheld, based on the code of conduct issued by the CBSE.
    (I) No students is permitted to bring mobile to school.
    (m) Any student caught smoking or drinking or indulging in any form of violence towards others will be expelled from the school immediately.
    (n) Personal pen drive, CD should not be used without permission of concerned teacher.

 

Rules Concerning Attendance, Absence & Leave

  1. No leave of absence is granted except on prior written application from parents or guardians and
    even, then for a plausible reason only.
  2. On entering the campus, it is assumed that the students will attend all classes as per the time
    table schedule. Leaving in between will be counted as absence for the day.
  3. Arriving to the class on time is the student's responsibility.
  4. If for any reason the student arrives late to class, he / she must obtain a note from the teacher who can account for the student's tardiness.
  5. Penalty for late comers follows three level¬
    (a) Oral warning
    (b) Reminder
    (c) Meeting with the Principal and a fine may be imposed.
  6. Leave letters are a prerequisite if the student is absent from the school.
  7. If the child is absent on a day, the next day he / she must come with an application and deposit it with class teacher and it should be counter signed by HM.
  8. Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on joining school. A copy of the certificate is to be submitted in the school office.
  9. Parents should fill up the "Record for Non-Attendance" for each day the student is absent from school stating the reasons for absence.
  10. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than six consecutive days renders the student liable to have his name struck off the rolls. Re- admission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee.
  11. All students are expected to attend school on the opening day after each of the vacation. Those absent
    without leave will be fined. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate before th13Y are to be admitted to the class.
    (a) Absence for more than three days immediately after a vacation renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. It is compulsory for the students to complete 75% of their attendance in the year to make them eligible to sit for their final examination.
    The percentage, however, could be relaxed on medical ground; but, such students will not for termination from the school.
  12. Spoiling computer or damaging hardware or software of the computer will account for suspension or permanent ban from computer lab. The cost as a fine will be recovered from the individual or the group.
  13. Smoking and drinking is a legal offence. Any individual involved in any such offence will be subjected to termination from school.
  14. Any damage of school property like blackboard, switchboard, furniture etc will be recovered in
    the form of fine from the individual or the group.
  15. Use of mobile is restricted in school premises. If someone is found using it in any sense a fine will
    be imposed as well disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned child.

 

Schedule Of Formative Assessment Test

  1. All tests are compulsory for all students of classes I onward, if a child misses these tests, these tests will not be conducted again.
  2. In order to ensure that child's interest held supreme, we have kept a provision for excusing absence from one weekly test in each term. However, it may be noted that this concession is not automatic. The entire case and the circumstances leading to the absence of the child will be examined by the "Examination Committee" who's recommendation will be binding.
